PLE Strategy: Engage
Engage instructional practice differs from Target PLE strand. With Engage PLE strategy, you are tailoring instruction to motivate students and providing feedback to students to inspire their interests and meet their academic needs.
This PLE strand means you are recognizing each student’s effort without sacrificing your expectations of high standards. Also, this PLE practice recognizes the data from your on-going formative assessments and reflects that data. This PLE practice is about implementation of your unit directives, while the Target PLE focuses on the planning stage. For the ELA classroom, try using student choice with text to engage interest.
